DADE CITY - Florida Southern opened the fall portion of its 2014-15 schedule here Monday afternoon by firing a five-under 283 as a team to stand tied for sixth place after the first round of the weather-delayed Saint Leo Invitational at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. The Florida Southern women’s soccer team claimed its first Sunshine State Conference award of the season on Monday when Aubrey Riggins was selected as the SSC Offensive Player-of-the-Week.
