Lady Mocs Have Five Top Ten Finishes
The Lady Moccasins track team had five top ten finishes as they competed at both the USF Invitational and Florida Relays Friday.
Emily LaBarbera, the lone Lady Moccasin to compete at the Florida Relays, ran a season best 18:37.66 in the 5,000 meters and finished thirty sixth.
At the USF Invitational, the Mocs turned in several solid performances. They were led by Sophia Bernard and Karys Whitehead. Bernard finished ninth in the 400 meters running a 1:00.79, while Whitehead finished tenth in the 800 meters running a season best 2:25.19. Then both ladies teamed up with Mackenzie Rideout and Alyssa Shuey for the 4x400 relay, where the Lady Mocs finished fifth with a time of 4:14.86.
Kelsey Dunn and Carlie Gray each added a top ten finish in the 5,000 meters race finishing eighth and tenth, respectively. Dunn ran a 20:46.30, while Gray ran a 22:49.14.
