Lady Mocs Finish Second At NSU Invitational
Silvie Dittertova finished second at 147The Moccasins held on to their second-place position on the final day of the Nova Southeastern Sharks Invitational at the PGA National Course in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday.
They were unable to gain any ground on first-day leader Nova Southeastern, as the Sharks shot a 294 in Tuesday’s final round to finish with a team score of 594, while the Moccasins shot 303 and came in at 608, two shots better than third-place Rollins.
Silvie Dittertova shot an even-par 72 in the final round to finish second at 147, matching her best-ever finish in a regulation tournament. She did have a first-place finish in a tournament as a freshman, but that event was limited to just one round due to rain. Nova Southeastern’s Daniela Ortiz, the first-day leader, shot a 69 in the final round and won the tournament with a 142.
Jackie Rajek, whose 74 was the Moccasins’ best score Monday, had a 79 in the final round and finished in 11th place at 153. M.J. Audette and Megan Kiley each shot a 76 in the final round. Audette finished in a tie for 12th at 154, while Kiley tied for 25th at 157. Amy Hodgkinson tied for 31st with a 159 after shooting an 81 in the final round. Barbora Vejlupkova, playing as an individual, tied for 34th with a 160.
