Doran and Sheffield Pace Mocs on Day Two Of Shark Invitational
Sheffield sets school record in 400 IM
Stephanie Doran had top four finishes in three events SaturdayStephanie Doran and Rae-Lynn Sheffield turned in the Moccasins' top performances on the second day of the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational Saturday at Ft. Lauderdale.
Doran had a fourth-place individual finish in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.92, swam leadoff on the first-place 400-yard medley relay team that won in 3:51.38 and swam the third leg on the second-place 200-yard freestyle relay team that had a time of 1:36.44. Joining her on the 400-medley relay team were Sheffield, Taylor Reynolds and Lisa Menne. Menne, Kelly Ruf and Reynolds made up the rest of the 200-freestyle relay team.
Sheffield was third in the 400-yard individual medley in a school-record time of 4:43.44.
The Moccasins had a third-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay with the team of Jordon Momsen, Linnea Almqvist, Anna McIntyre and Abigail Eley posting a time of 1:37.61.
Reynolds was fourth in the 100-yard butterly fly in 57.33.
Tampa and Nova Southeastern remain in first and second place, respectively, with the Moccasins in third in the six-team field.
