Two Top-10 Finishers in 5,000 Meters Highlights Bulls Invitational
TAMPA - Eric Larson and Chris Yanichko both placed in the top ten of the 5,000 meters at the Bulls Invitational, while Chris Trebilcock finished in the top half of the field in the 1,500 meters at mostly Division I meet hosted by the University of South Florida.
Larson was sixth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:24.7, Yanichko was ninth with a time of 15:29.64, and David Tomchinsky was 12th at 15:41.61. Evans Kirwa of Embry-Riddle posted the winning time of 14:33.72, and four Division I runners finished between Kirwa and Larson.
Trebilcock placed 25th out of 55 runners in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:06.74. That was also second among non-Division I runners, with Tennessee-Chattanooga's Lucas Cotter winning the race in 3:51.92. Trebilcock also just missed one of the Mocs' top-five fastest times in the 800 meters with a 2:01.94.
