Europe Trip - Day 10

Our last day in Paris started bright and early with us leaving at 7:30 a.m. headed towards Versailles. The hour and a half train ride to the Palace was well worth it considering its magnificence, but unfortunately the weather was uncooperative when we attempted to tour the gardens. While some stuck it out through the rain, others headed back to town for shopping or a nap.

We had some free time before dinner, so a few girls traveled to a famous cemetery where both Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde are buried. Yet again, an anonymous player, aka Mate Flomberg had an unfortunate event: a bird pooped on her face splattering our assistant coach on the arm.

Later, we all went out to an authentic Italian pizza restaurant for our last meal together as a unit. We ended our trip with a bang by climbing almost 700 steps up to the top of the Eiffel Tower at dusk. This time was perfect because we were able to get both day and night shots on the Eiffel Tower, as well as ground shots while it was lit. A couple people were afraid of heights but decided to take the experience of a lifetime.

We ended the last day by enjoying a famous snack of the French: crepes with Nutella. What a fabulous way to end our journey throughout Europe, and now we are ready to return to our family and friends who made this trip possible!
