Brusie Interning This Summer With FCA Volleyball
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Florida Southern senior-to-be libero Catherine Brusie is spending this summer here as an intern with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Volleyball (FCAV).
Brusie, who is a native of North Branch, Mich., is spending 10 weeks in Huntington Beach playing volleyball, training with the professionals and learning how to better live her life through Jesus.
As a junior in 2013, Brusie, who was named a First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference selection, led the Moccasins in digs with 621 and averaged 4.78 digs per set and also recorded 32 service aces and had 99 set assists in her first season at FSC after transferring from Winthrop. On the year, she had double figure digs in 32 matches, including 33 digs against Rollins, which is fourth-most on the school's single season list.
