Moc Fans Encouraged To Wear Red Friday To Celebrate College Colors Day
ATLANTA, Ga. - Florida Southern College athletic fans are encouraged to wear red this coming Friday as the school is taking part in College Colors Days that is sponsored by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC).
College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college or university apparel throughout the day on Friday, Aug. 29.
Additionally, College Colors Day, which coincides with “back to school” and the kick-off of intercollegiate athletics at campuses nationwide, strives to advocate higher education through increased public awareness and celebrates the achievement of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance.
“We want to encourage all students, alumni, staff, fans to show their support for the Mocs by wearing red on Friday,” said FSC Associate Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer Al Green. “We’re excited to be a part of this College Colors Day celebration this year and look forward to everyone wearing red on Friday.”
Since its inception in 2005, College Colors Day has grown rapidly across the country. Thousands of organizations and millions of individuals participate annually by donning their team colors and sharing in the college spirit with friends and colleagues.
FSC sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports and boasts 27 NCAA Division II National Championships.
