Stauch Shares 1st, Mocs 2nd In Playoff At USF Invitational
The Moccasins' Matt Stauch held on to a share of the individual lead and finished as co-champion of the USF Invitational at the Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City Sunday.
After shooting back-to-back rounds of 67 Friday and Saturday, Stauch shot a 73 Sunday and shared the individual tournament title with Texas Tech's Santiago Rivas. Both finished at 207 for the tournament, but there was no playoff for the top spot.
There was a playoff for the team title, however, between the Moccasins and Red Raiders and Texas Tech captured that. Both teams had finished regulation with team scores of 858.
Jude Eustaquio, Rob Gleixner and Brian Richey each had final rounds of 70 for the Moccasins. Eustaquio tied for 13th at 215, Gleixner tied for 22nd at 217 and Richey tied for 39th at 219.
