In their final competition before the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, the Lady Mocs and All-American Heather Burgner brought home the team and individual titles from the inaugural Barry Invitational at Don Shula's Golf Club in Miami Tuesday.

Leading by 13 strokes heading into Tuesday's final round, the Moccasins added six strokes to their lead and finished at 881, 19 strokes better than runner-up Lynn.  The Moccasins' 295 in the final round was the best round of the day and the only one under 300.

Burgner, who had a tournament-best round of 69 in Monday's second round, finished with a 71 Tuesday for a final score of 214, giving her a six-stroke advantage over teammate Silvie Dittertova and Lynn's Maha Haddioui, both of whom finished at 220.  The win for Burgner is her third of the year.   She won the Mountain Shootout at Northern Arizona and the Saint Leo Invitational in the fall.  Combining the fall and spring seasons, Burgner finished in the top ten in eight of FSC's nine tournaments on the schedule.

The Moccasins placed all of their golfers in the top 16 in the seven-team field.  Marianne Andersson tied for fifth with a 225.  Kim Ulander tied for 11th with a 229.  Emily Flanigan tied for 16th with a 231.  M.J. Audette, playing as an individual, tied for seventh at 227.

FSC will be the host school for the Sunshine State Conference Tournament Apr. 20-21 at the Lake Region Yacht & Country Club in Winter Haven.
