LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College recognized its student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff at its annual Athletic Academic Awards Banquet on Tuesday night. More than 500 student-athletes, coaches, staff, and invited guests attended the event at Jenkins Field House.
MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College had 75 student-athletes named to the Fall SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, the Sunshine State Conference announced on Friday. The Moccasins ranked second among all SSC schools in the total number of student-athletes honored, and had the most with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (27).

INDIANAPOLIS - The Sunshine State Conference is the top NCAA Division II conference in Academic Success Rate (ASR). On Tuesday, November 15, the NCAA released ASR data for all 24 NCAA Division II conferences, with the SSC leading the way at 86 percent.

The Florida Southern soccer teams made it five years in a row where both squads were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American with the annual Team Academic Award. The men's team has now earned that award 10 consecutive years, while the women have been on the list for the last five. The men were tied for #3 among all Division II schools with their 3.45 team GPA, and the women were 13th with a team GPA of 3.56.
LAKELAND, Fla. – Due to the impact of Hurricane Hermine throughout Florida and Georgia, Friday and Saturday's soccer games at Florida Southern have been cancelled or postponed. As of Friday afternoon, the men's soccer game against Warner University that was re-scheduled for Sunday night is still being played, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
Florida Southern College athletics has signed a three-year agreement with Stretch Internet to provide live video streaming of home athletic events. Fans will be able to access high-definition video broadcasts of Moccasin men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball during the 2016-17 season. Baseball and softball will be added for the 2017-18 academic year
Ryan Bower, former assistant director of public relations at Cedarville University, has been named as director of athletic communication for Florida Southern College, it was announced today by Moccasin Director of Athletics Pete Meyer. Bower begins at the college on August 1.
