Ashley Shell Completes Women's Basketball's Recruiting Class June 21, 2018 LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's basketball head coach Betsy Harris has wrapped up her recruiting class for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign with the signing of Ashley Shell, a 5-11 forward from Deerfield Beach High School. Shell will join the Moccasins after averaging 14.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game as a senior. Shell helped lead the Bucks to a 24-6 record this past season, including a trip to the FHSAA Girls 9A State Semifinals.

Keime Signs Four More for 2019 June 18, 2018 LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball head coach Hyrum Keime has announced the addition of four more student-athletes who will join the Moccasins for the 2018-19 academic year. The quartet will join Florida Southern for its second season as a beach volleyball program after the sport was added prior to the 2017-18 year. Mocs Sign Kiesler to Finalize Men's Recruiting Class June 8, 2018 LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's basketball head coach Mike Donnelly has announced the signing of Pierce Kiesler as the final piece of the Moccasins four-man recruiting class for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign. Kiesler will join DeAndre Campbell, Kaiyem Cleary, and E.J. Dambreville as the four new incoming Mocs. Campbell and Cleary signed with Florida Southern in April and May, respectively, while Dambreville was the first member of the class to sign back in November.

Boston Red Sox Tap Browning In 24th Round of MLB Draft June 6, 2018 The same day he was named the Josh Willingham Award recipient the Division II Baseball's Most Valuable Player, Florida Southern senior Logan Browning was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 24th round (730th pick overall) in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Wednesday. The Lakeland native is the third Florida Southern picked by the Red Sox since 1999.
Browning Wins Josh Willingham Award as Division II Most Valuable Player June 6, 2018 Florida Southern senior Logan Browning has been named the winner of the 2018 Perfect Game Josh Willingham Award as DII baseball's Most Valuable Player. The award is named for former University of North Alabama standout, Josh Willingham, and honors a player who not only excels on the diamond, but in the dugout, clubhouse and practice field as well, and leads his team to national championship caliber status. This season Browning paced the Mocs as they competed for the program's tenth baseball national title. FSC finished the season 45-11-1 with a third-place finish at the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships.
Hintzen Selected as Brett Tomko Award Recipient as Division II Pitcher of the Year June 6, 2018 Florida Southern senior J.T. Hintzen has been named the recipient of the 2018 Perfect Game Brett Tomko Award. The annual award is bestowed to a college baseball pitcher whose on the field performance is deemed the most outstanding at the Division II level. The award is named for former Moccasin Brett Tomko who was 15-2 for the 1995 NCAA National Champion Florida Southern team. Tomko, who went on to win 100 games in the Major Leagues, was named the 1995 National Pitcher and Player of the Year.
Milwaukee Brewers Pick Hintzen in 10th Round of MLB Draft June 5, 2018 The Milwaukee Brewers have picked senior J.T. Hintzen with their 10th round pick (305th overall) in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Hintzen is the highest Moccasin draft pick since Jhalan Jackson was tabbed in the seventh round by the New York Yankees in the 2015 draft. He is the 28th Florida Southern player to be drafted in the top ten rounds of the MLB draft.
O'Brien Selected as Finalist for Honda DII Woman Athlete of the Year June 5, 2018 LOS ANGELES - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse standout Meghan O'Brien has been selected as the 2018 DII Honda Athlete of the Year nominee for lacrosse, the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda announced this week. O'Brien is one of 11 student-athletes from 11 different sports to earn the honor and is now a finalist for the prestigious DII Honda Woman Athlete of the Year.
