David Blanco

Joining the Moccasins this year as a senior walk-on after attending the University of Florida from the summer of 2008 through the fall of 2011… Played for the club soccer team at Florida, helping that program to a national runner-up finish in 2009.

In high school… 2008 graduate of Lakeland Christian School where he was a 4-year letterman for Grandy Streets… Helped the Vikings finish as the Class 2A state runner-up as a sophomore (2006), and win district championships as a junior and senior… Also a member of the cross-country and track & field teams for four years… Helped the Lakeland Christian cross-country team win three straight district titles… Member of National Honor Society.

Extra… Born 8/15/90… Son of Bernardo and Marlene Blanco… Has one older brother (Ricky) and one younger brother (Josué)… Father is a professor at Florida Southern College... Dean’s List student at Florida Southern… Planning to attend graduate school for a master’s in mechanical engineering… Math major.
