Brian Imperiale, who joined the Moccasin staff for the 2009 season as a graduate assistant, is now the top assistant for Jill Stephens. He has been a head coach for the Pinellas Heat Elite club program since 2004. In June his Pinellas Heat 16’s team finished second in the Open Division at the AAU Junior National Championships in Orlando. His Heat teams also qualified for the Junior Olympics four times during his time with the club. In 2010, he was named Florida Region Male Coach of the Year.
Imperiale also served as the head coach at Clearwater Central Catholic High School for two seasons before coming to FSC. His Clearwater Central teams went 33-17 in his two seasons there. In addition to his club and high school experience, he also has coached with the Team Florida High Performance program for the past four years.
He received his bachelor’s degree in finance in 2002 from Florida State and played on the men’s club volleyball team there. A native of Dunedin, he and his wife, Mehryn, live in Clearwater and have a two-year-old son, Drew.
