Returning 3-year starter at defender… One of five seniors on this year’s roster and one of three who will be 4-year letterman… Has started more games over the last three seasons (36) than any other Moccasin.

As a junior (2012)… Scored the Moccasin goal in the 1-0 win at 20th-ranked Florida Tech (Sept. 29)… First time in 11 years that a defender scored the only goal of a 1-0 win for the Moccasins… Assisted one goal in the 4-3 loss at Barry (Oct. 16)… Also took three of his 10 shots in that game, with the 10 shots the most among Florida Southern defenders… Part of a back line that held Eckerd to just seven total shots (three on goal) in a 0-0 tie (Oct. 23)… Averaged 83 minutes per match.

As a sophomore (2011)… One of six Moccasins to play in all 15 games, one of three to start every game, and the only one of those three who returned in 2012… Second on the team in minutes played to Zach Hofstetter, playing all but 33 minutes… Helped the Mocs limit five opponents to 10 shots or less… Scored in the 4-0 win over Savannah Art & Design (Sept. 6)… Assisted the go-ahead goal in 2-0 win at Clearwater Christian (Oct. 15) and was also part of a defense that allowed just six shots that night.

As a freshman (2010)… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started the Mocs’ opening-day 2-0 win at Mount Olive, along with the final nine games of the season at outside back… Did not start the game at West Florida, but played 105 minutes off the bench in the 2-2 draw, and stopped the Argonauts’ final scoring chance in regulation by winning the ball in the box with 20 seconds on the clock (Sept. 12)… Moved into the lineup full-time on September 29, and helped the Mocs defeat #15 Rollins 3-1… Turned in one of his best games of the season in a 2-1 victory at #21 Lynn (Oct. 16)… Scored his first collegiate goal in a 3-2 loss to #21 Saint Leo, giving the Mocs a 2-1 lead early in the second half (Sept. 29)… Picked up his only assist in the 10-0 win over Ave Maria (Oct. 23).

In high school… 2010 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School where he played for head coach Tony Keyes… All-conference defender as a senior when he was one of the leaders for a team that finished the year ranked #10 according to the ESPN Rise Fab 50 Poll… Helped the Wildcats to a 27-1-1 record as a senior when they posted 17 shutouts, a 0.51 goals against average, and allowed just 15 goals in 29 games… Team went 21-6-2 his junior year (fall of 2008), finished fourth in the state, and had 15 shutouts… Finished as Class 3A state runner-up in 2007, when Neuqua Valley went 24-2-4… Played eight years with the Galaxy Soccer Club and coach Jim Conner… Played for the Chicago Fire Juniors as a high school senior, winning the Illinois State Cup under coach Trey Bradberry.

Extra… Born 12/10/91… Son of Ambrose and Sabrina Marton… Has one older brother (Tony) and one younger brother (James)… Former teammate Bryan Ciesiulka now plays for Marquette, and Scott Davis plays for Bradley… Graphic Design major with a minor in Biology.
