Caitlyn Lopez

As a freshman (2011)… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Appeared in four games as a reserve during her rookie season… Averaged 18 minutes per match with a season-high of 40 in a 1-0 loss to Florida Tech (Sept. 28)… Also saw time in shutout wins over Eckerd (Sept. 14) and Flagler (Oct. 5).

In high school… Came to Florida Southern as a 2011 graduate of East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs… Played for three different coaches during her 4-year career with the Eagles (freshman year for Raleigh Daves, sophomore and junior year for John Ore, and senior year for Derek Harrington)… As a freshman, helped East Lake win the district title and advance to the Class 5A state final four… Team reached at least the regional semifinals all four years… Honorable mention All-Pinellas County as a senior midfielder… Played in Hillsborough-Pinellas Senior All-Star Match, and helped Pinellas County to a win… Won academic letter all four years of her high school career and was a member of the National Honor Society… Played club soccer for the Countryside Lightning for three years (coached by Lindsay Webb and Mike Baker)… Also played for Hillsborough County United for three years (coached by Igor Gonzales and Scott Sims)… Advanced to the “Elite Eight” in the state cup in 2009-10 and “Sweet Sixteen” in 2010-11.
