As a freshman (2011)… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started all but one game as a midfielder for the Moccasins, coming off the bench in only the season finale against Rollins when Florida Southern started its entire senior class… Led the team’s freshmen in minutes played and starts… Tied for second on the team with three assists… Picked up two of those assists in back-to-back games against Armstrong Atlantic (Sept. 4) and Palm Beach Atlantic (Sept. 9)… Also helped the Moccasin defense record three shutouts and a 1.10 goals against average… Averaged 76 minutes per match.

In high school… 2011 graduate of Vero Beach High School where she played four years for coach Jose Gilbert… Selected All-Region by the NSCAA as a senior and was a 3-time All-State selection… Led the Indians to the Class 6A state championship game as a senior captain, where the Indians fell to Oviedo in penalty kicks… Scored seven goals with 16 assists on the season… Team won its first district and regional championship… Had 13 goals and 12 assists as a junior when she was First Team All-State, first team all-area and all-region, team captain and team MVP… Scored seven goals with nine assists as a sophomore when she was Second Team All-State, first team all-area, the team’s midfield player-of-the-year, and co-MVP… Won all of those awards after missing her freshman year due to a knee injury… Graduated with honors in the top 5% of her class… National Honor Society member… Played her club soccer for IRSA from 2002-07 (coached by Marty Rasmussen and Scott Deal), and for Melbourne Beach Tsunami/MEGU from 2008-11 (coached by Adrian Moo and Julie Williammee)… Club teammate of fellow Moccasin sophomore Kirra Rainbow.

Born 3/26/93… Daughter of Ray and Denise Metz… The third of five children in the family with two younger brothers (Matt-14, and Sam-9), one older brother (Mark-26) and one older sister (Amanda-23)… Grandmother, Linda, also attended Florida Southern in the 1950’s… Three of her former teammates signed with Nova Southeastern (Melissa Madden, Shadia Blair, and Kaitlyn Cauffman)… Biology/Pre-Med major.
