First National Poll of the Season Has Women's Swimming Team at #5

The Florida Southern women’s swimming team has earned a #5 national ranking in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Division II national poll announced for the 2014-15 season. Defending national champion Drury (MO) holds the top position, followed by Queens (NC), Wingate (NC) and Cal-San Diego, with the latter two tied for third.. Read the full story.

Moccasins Excel at Florida State With NCAA Qualifying Times in Eight Events

TALLAHASSEE – Florida Southern’s trip to Florida State on Friday for a split meet with the Seminoles produced numerous personal-bests, season-bests, and even more importantly, a whole collection of NCAA qualifying times. The Moccasins also got a win from junior Lauren Reynolds and three very close seconds from junior Alli Crenshaw, while fellow junior Kelsey Gouge and sophomore Cassie Ley helped them achieve NCAA “B” times in three different relays.. Crenshaw and Gouge Hit NCAA Provisional Qualifying Times vs. Division I Florida International

LAKELAND – Juniors Kelsey Gouge and Alli Crenshaw both picked up individual wins Saturday and hit NCAA “B” qualifying times in the process, though Division I Florida International won eight of the 11 races overall to take a 124-78 victory over Florida Southern in the Moccasins’ home opener.. Junior All-Americans Lead Moccasins to Season-Opening Win at Tampa

TAMPA – Florida Southern’s All-American 200-medley relay team made sure the Moccasins got off to a winning start in a new season Friday night, and a trio of juniors who earned individual All-American awards last year started the same way. Alli Crenshaw, Kelsey Gouge, and Lauren Reynolds all won multiple events, and another junior, Morgan Burns had a first- and second-place finish as Florida Southern defeated Tampa, 157.5-104.5..
