Moccasins Fall to Tampa in Season Finale

TAMPA, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball fell to Tampa, 4-1, in its 2018 season finale on Monday evening at the UT Beach Volleyball Complex. The Moccasins (5-18) were able to pick up a win at the No. 1 spot, but the Spartans (14-10) snagged wins in all other matchups to come away with the victory.

The Mocs' lone point on the day came from the top duo of Allie Geary/Anna Tovo, who bounced back from a first-set loss to snag a win (19-21, 21-19, 15-10). Florida Southern nearly pulled out a win at the No. 2 spot, but the team of Sydney Marshall/Makena Wilson suffered a three-set defeat (18-21, 21-14, 15-10). Tampa won the remaining three matches in straight sets.
