The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has named Florida Southern College's Mitch Reeves to its preseason All-America team. The senior was named a third-team selection.
Reeves was named to the All-South second-team last season by both the NCBWA and the American Baseball Coaches Association and was a first-team All-Sunshine State Conference honoree at third base, but is expected to start in the outfield for Head Coach Lance Niekro's Moccasins this season.

He was tied for the team lead with 24 multi-hit games and led the Mocs with 16 games in which he had two or more RBI.

The NCBWA also released it preseason national poll on Wednesday and the Moccasins were listed as receiving votes. Collegiate Baseball Magazine lists Florida Southern at No. 20 in its preseason poll released Jan. 19. In the Sunshine State Conference preseason Coaches Poll, the Moccasins were picked to finish third.
