Brian Butterfield (1978-79 at FSC)- Played for four seasons in the Yankee's minor league organization ... spent 12 years as a minor league coach for New York and coached first base for the Yankees in 1995 ... returned to the minors to manage before joining the Diamondbacks as their third base coach from 1998-2000 ... Began a ten-year career (2002-2012) as a coach for the Blue Jays, including two stints as the third base coach ... currently the third base coach for the Boston Red Sox.


Ralph Citarella (1979 at FSC) - The Moc’s only 1st round draft pick ... 12th overall selection by Cardinals in 1979 ... Played parts of two seasons with the Cardinals (1983-84) and one with the White Sox (1987) ... appeared in 21 games in his career with a record of 0-1 and a 4.06 ERA.

Bill Dancy (1972-73 at FSC)- Played for five seasons in the Phillies' minor league organization ... managed 23 seasons (21 with Philadelphia and two with the Cubs) in the minors including nine seasons in AAA (compiled 1,668 wins) ... was named the Phillies' third base coach in 2005 and served for two seasons ... currently with Detroit as minor league field coordinator.

Dino Ebel (1987-88 at FSC)- Spent six years playing in the Dodgers minor league organization ... managed in the minors for nine years before being named to the Angels' major league coaching staff in 2005 ... currently serves as the Angel's bench coach as well as coaching the outfielders.


Eddie Gaillard (1992-93 at FSC) - 13th round pick by Detroit in 1993 ... Pitched in 30 games with the Tigers in 1997, was 2-0 with a 4.66 ERA ... spent parts of 1998-99 seasons with the Devil Rays ... has pitched in Japan since 2000 season ... had 34 saves and 1.52 ERA with Chunichi Dragons in 2002 ... had 14 saves for Chunichi and 8 saves for Yokohama in 2003.


John Hudek (1987-88 at FSC) - 10th round draft pick by the White Sox in 1988 ... played six seasons (1994-99) with Astros, Mets, Reds, Braves and Blue Jays ... best year was 1994, when he made NL All-Star Team as a rookie and had 16 saves with a 2.97 ERA with the Astros ... career record was 10-15 with 29 saves.

Matt Joyce (2003-05 at FSC) - 12th round draft pick by Detroit in 2005 ... Made ML debut in May 2008 with the Tigers ... traded to Tampa Bay prior to 2009 season for Edwin Jackson ... selected to 2011 America League All-Star game ... traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim following 2014 season for Kevin Jepsen ... played for Pittsburgh in 2016 ... set a Major League record with 21 pinch walks in 2016 with Pittsburgh … has a .242 career average with 106 home runs and 376 RBI in 958 games over nine seasons heading into the 2017 season ... signed a two-year contract with Oakland in Nov. 2016.


Andy McGaffigan (1977-78 at FSC) - 6th round draft pick by Yankees in 1978 ... Played 11 seasons (1981-91) with the Yankees, Giants, Expos, Reds and Royals ... best year was 1986, when he was 10-5 with 2 saves and a 2.65 ERA with the Expos ... career record was 38-33 with 34 saves and a 3.38 ERA.


Lance Niekro (1999-2000 at FSC) - 2nd round pick by Giants in 2000 (61st pick overall) ... Made his major league debut with San Francisco in September, 2003 ... hit .252 with 12 home runs (5th on the team), 16 doubles, three triples and 46 RBI in 113 games in 2005 ... hit .246 with 17 HR and 79 RBI over four ML seasons ... currently the Moccasins' head coach.


Greg Pryor (1968-71 at FSC) - 6th round pick by Rangers in 1971 ... Played 10 years (1976-86) in the American League with the Rangers, White Sox and Royals ... best year was 1979, when he hit .275 in 143 games with the White Sox ... key reserve on the Royals’ 1985 World Series Championship team ... hit .250 with 14 home runs and 146 RBI in his career.


Carlos Reyes (1990-91 at FSC) - Undrafted out of college ... last played in the majors in 2003 with Tampa Bay ... has also played with A’s, Red Sox, Padres and Phillies ... appeared in 65 games in relief in 1999 with Padres ... was 7-10 as a starter in 1996 for the A’s ... career record 20-36 with a 4.66 ERA.

Gus Schlosser (2010-11 at FSC) - 17th round pick by the Braves in 2011 ... made his Major League debut on opening day of the 2014 season (3/31/14) after closing out the 2013 season at Double-A. Traded to the Colorado Rockies in January, 2015 ... currently pitching for New Britain of the Double A Eastern League.
