GAINESVILLE - Junior Shona Whitfield was named the reserve high point rider at the University of Florida IHSA Hunter Seat Show on Saturday, becoming the first-ever Florida Southern equestrian team member to be so honored. The Moccasin team placed sixth out of 15 teams in the show.

SAVANNAH, GA - Emily Shoaff and Sophie Morgan took honors first-place honors to help the Florida Southern equestrian team to a ninth-place finish out of 16 teams at the two-day Savannah Art & Design Hunter Seat Event. The Moccasins placed 14 riders in 18 events on Saturday and 13 in 18 events on Sunday and closed out the Fall portion of their schedule.
JACKSONVILLE, FL - Paige Tynan took first place in the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter Saturday at the University of North Florida Equestrian Event with Shona Whitfield finishing right behind in second place. In the Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter, Emily McPartlin came in fourth place while Shelby Cain placed fourth in the Beginner Walk/Trot.

CLEVELAND, OH - Florida Southern College athletics continued its long tradition of success with a 16th place finish in the final standings of the 2016-17 Learfield Directors' Cup, which ranks all athletic programs at the NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA levels based on their success in athletic competition.
