NORMAN, OK – Men's golfer Levin Hoffman has been named an Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Hoffman, a mathematics major who completed his junior season, posted a 3.75 grade point average this past spring. He was named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2015-16 and was the recipient of the FSC Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete Award for Men's Golf for a second consecutive year.
A native of Sarstedt, Germany, Hoffmann played in seven tournaments for the Moccasins, posting a 76.86 stroke average over 21 rounds. For his three-year career, he has a 77.41 over 54 rounds. He turned in his best score in his first tournament of the season, shooting a 221 at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational on Sept. 21-22, 2015 at the Country Club of Columbus in Georgia.
A total of 91 in Division II were named All-American Scholars by the GCAA. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0 in Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
