Begins his senior year having played in three consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship Tournaments, helping the Moccasins win the 2017 national title and reach the semifinals of medal play in 2016 and 2018.
AS A JUNIOR (2017-18)… GCAA All-South Region… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… GCAA All-American Scholar… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Finished the year ranked No. 37 in the individual Golfstat rankings and goes into the 2018-19 season as one of the top-20 returning players in Division II… Played in 10 of a possible 12 events (one as an individual in the Panther Invitational), including the NCAA Division II National Finals for the third year in a row… Individual winning percentage of .738 was third on the team and is the best among Florida Southern’s returning players in 2018-19… Turned in a stroke average of 72.78, dropping that almost three strokes from sophomore season… Had a career-high 11 rounds of even-par or better, with a career-best four-under par 68 in the second round of the Griffin Invitational (Sept. 18) that led to an 18th-place finish out of 90 golfers… Tied for fourth out of 75 golfers at the Copperhead Championship (Oct. 16-17) for his first top-five, shooting an even-par 213 (71-72-70)… Placed in the top-20 in all four of his fall tournaments, and had seven top-20s in 10 tournaments overall… Was Florida Southern’s #2 golfer in the team scoring three times… Tied for 37th at the Sunshine State Conference Championships with a 222 (75-74-73), and again tied for 37th out of 108 golfers at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Super Regional in Conover, North Carolina with a seven-over par 220 (76-74-70)… Tied for 20th out of 108 at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with a one-under par 215 (71-71-73), the best postseason score of his career… Followed that with rounds of 72 and 74 in medal play.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17)… SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll… Member of Florida Southern’s national championship team at the 2017 National Finals in Kissimmee… Played in all but one tournament, missing only the DII National Preview during the fall… After averaging 78.00 strokes per round in the fall, saw that average fall to 74.92 during the spring, and 73.25 during the postseason to finish at 75.69 overall… Tied for 20th out of 108 golfers at the NCAA Division II National Championships with a six-over par 216 (70-72-74)… Followed that with rounds of 68, 78, and 71 during the match play portion of the tournament… The 68 in the quarterfinals vs. Ferris State was Florida Southern’s best score of that round and a new career-best… Had two other rounds during the season of even-par, both of which occurred during postseason play (a 72 in the opening round of the SSC Championships, and a 70 in the opening round of the National Championships)… In addition to a 20th-place finish at Nationals, tied for 38th out of 108 golfers at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional with a matching score of six-over par 222 (74-74-74), and tied for 26th at the Sunshine State Conference Championships with an eight-over par 224 (72-74-78).
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16)… SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll… Played in four tournaments during his first season with the Moccasins, including the NCAA Division II National Finals at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver… Tied for 74th out of 108 golfers there in his first career postseason tournament… Finished at +9 (80-73-72=225) for his best score of the season… Had a 78 and 79 during match play at the National Finals… Played in two fall tournaments plus the Matlock Collegiate Classic… Had a 76.86 stroke average… Season-best score of even-par 72 came in the final round of stroke play at the National Finals.
HIGH SCHOOL… 2015 graduate of Pomperaug High School in Southbury, Connecticut… lettered for four years in golf at Pomperaug for coach Rich Szymanski… Four-time all-conference and three-time All-State selection… As a senior, was named the Connecticut Division I Player of the Year… Was a member of Pomperaug's 2013 Division I State Championship team.
