As a sophomore (2016-17)… First Team All-American in the 200-IM (4th place), and 800-freestyle relay (7th place)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 400-IM (11th place)… First Team All-Sunshine State Conference… SSC Men’s Swimmer-of-the-Week for January 9… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Set the school record in the 400-IM for the second year in a row, posting a time of 3:51.67 at the NCAA Division II National Finals… Fell 0.18 seconds off the school mark in the 200-IM… In addition to his All-American events at the National Finals, also competed in the 100-freestyle and the 500-freestyle… One of eight Moccasins to swim in all nine meets, including the NCAA Division II National Championships… Had NCAA provisional qualifying times in three freestyle events (50, 100, and 200) and both individual medley events… Missed a “B” time in the 1,000-free by only 2.14 seconds… SSC silver medalist in both individual medley races, picked up two more silvers in the 800-freestyle and 400-medley relays, and a bronze in the 400-freestyle relay for a total of five medals overall at the conference championships… Tied for third on the team with four individual wins, with three coming in one meet against NCAA Division III National Champion Emory (200-free, 500-free and 200-IM)… Fourth win of the season came in the 1,000-free against NJCAA National Champion Indian River State… Was in the top-five on the Florida Southern times list in eight individual events (four freestyle, two breaststroke and two IM) and three relays (400-free, 800-free and 400-medley)… Held the top position in the two individual medley events, was #2 in the 500-free and 1,000-free, and #3 in the 100-free and 200-breast)… Part of Florida Southern’s top 800-freestyle relay and its #2 times for the 400-freestyle relay and 400-medley relay.
As a freshman (2015-16)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 200-IM (11th place), 400-IM (11th place), 500-freestyle (14th place) and 800-freestyle relay (9th place)… First Team All-Sunshine State Conference… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… In addition to the 500-freestyle and the two individual medley events, also had an NCAA provisional time in the 200-breaststroke… Helped the 400-freestyle relay, 800-freestyle relay and 400-medley relay teams hit NCAA provisional times too… One of eight Moccasins to swim in all nine meets, including the National Finals… One of the Mocs’ normal swimmers in the two individual medley events, both breaststroke races, and the 500- and 1,000-freestyle… Set the school record in the 400-IM at the Sunshine State Conference Championships with a time of 3:52.69… SSC Champion in the 400-IM… Tied for third on the team with seven individual wins (three in the 200-IM, two in the 400-IM, one in the 200-free, and one in the 500-free)… Part of one relay win… Ranked #1 on the Florida Southern times list in the 200-IM, 400-IM and 500-freestyle… Was #2 in the 1,000-freestyle and #3 in the 100- and 200-breaststroke.
In high school… Homeschooled but swam for Janice Johnson at Rockledge High School… USA Swimming Scholastic All-American (2013-2015)… Four-time team MVP… As a senior was first in class 2A State Championship in the 200-IM (1:51.28) and fourth in the 100-breaststroke (58.03)… As a junior finished second at state in the 200-IM and ninth in the 100-breaststroke… Brevard County Swimmer-of-the-Year as a sophomore… Made it to state in the 200-freestyle and 100-breaststroke… As a freshman made it to regionals in the 200-IM and the 500-freestyle… Holds seven records at Rockledge High School, three of which are relay records… Dual-enrolled at Eastern Florida State College where he was a Dean’s List student… Personal… Has been coached by Major Hall for the last 10 years at Central Brevard Swimming… Aspires to work for a professional sports organization… Enjoys surfing, fishing, and hunting… List his favorite professional teams as the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays… Son of Bryan and Tracey Holmes … Has an older (Rachel) and younger (Reagan) sister.
