Final Regular Season CSCAA National Men's Swimming Poll Has Moccasins Ranked 7th February 1, 2017 Florida Southern has moved up two spots in the final NCAA Division II regular season poll conducted by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America and will go into the postseason ranked No. 7 in the country. The Moccasins have been ranked in the top-10 in all four CSCAA polls this season.
Swimming Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Award January 26, 2017 The Florida Southern swimming teams have been honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for their academic performance during the fall semester. Both the men and women finished the first semester this season with grade point averages over 3.00 and were ranked among the top-25 teams in Division II for team GPA, earning them the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Award.
Back-and-Forth Meet Decided by Final Race as Indian River State Edges No. 9 Florida Southern 106-99 January 20, 2017 LAKELAND, FLA. – With the two teams never separated by more than eight points, and having split each of the first 10 races held on Friday, Indian River State was able to pull out a 106-99 meet victory over 9th-ranked Florida Southern by winning the 400-freestyle relay finale. It was the final regular season meet of the year for the Moccasins.

Holmes Wins SSC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week Award January 9, 2017 Florida Southern’s Matthew Holmes has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Swimmer-of-the-Week for January 9 following his performance in the Moccasins’ dual meet against Emory University on January 7. The sophomore from Rockledge, Florida won all three of his individual races to become the first Moccasin this year to go 3-for-3 in a meet.
Men’s Swimming Meet Decided by Final Event as Emory Pulls Out 8-Point Win Over Florida Southern January 7, 2017 LAKELAND – Ninth-ranked Florida Southern won eight of the 12 individual events held Saturday afternoon, which included three victories by sophomore Matthew Holmes, and held a 1-point lead going into the final race of the meet before Division III No. 2 Emory won the 200-freestyle relay to pull out a 135-127 win over the Moccasins.

Men's Swimming Team Remains No. 9 in Third CSCAA Poll of the Season December 22, 2016 With Christmas break now underway for the Florida Southern swimming teams, the Moccasin men remained No. 9 in the latest Division II national poll released by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The top-10 teams remained largely intact from the November 16 poll, with only one team dropping below that level. Florida Southern was among five teams to hold the same position in the December 21 poll that it held in November.

Men's Swimming Team Back in Action This Weekend at Spartan Invitational in Clearwater December 15, 2016 The Florida Southern men's swimming team returns to action this weekend when it travels to Clearwater for the University of Tampa Spartan Invitational. The 4-day event is being held at the Doyle Aquatic Center at the Long Center, located at 1501 North Belcher Road and runs from Friday through Monday. Similar to the format used at the conference and national tournaments in the spring, the Spartan Invitational will feature 19 different events, with preliminaries during the morning sessions and finals in those events each night.

The senior from Madrid, Spain is the first SSC award winner for the Moccasin men's swimming team this season.
Palacios Wins 100-Backstroke; Mocs Take Second in Three Other Events in Dual Meet vs. Florida State November 5, 2016 FORT MYERS, Fla. – Marco Palacios won the 100-backstroke with an NCAA provisional qualifying time, and the Moccasins got runner-up finishes from Matthew Holmes, Luka Planinc, and their 200-freestyle relay team to conclude a 2-day dual meet with Florida State that was hosted by Florida Gulf Coast. The Seminoles out-scored the Moccasins 225-90 in the 17 events held.

The Moccasins are one of three Sunshine State Conference teams in the top-10, and one of five in the poll, with Nova Southeastern holding the #1 position.
Moccasin Men Post 10 Individual Wins and One Relay Win to Win Home-Opening Double Dual October 21, 2016 LAKELAND – Winning 11 of the 14 events held, and with four swimmers winning multiple individual races, Florida Southern took both ends of a double dual with Florida Tech and Keiser in its first home meet of the season. The Moccasins defeated the Panthers 321-162, and the Seahawks from Keiser 344-138.
