  • Jones Posts Division II's Fastest Freshman 10K Time This Season at Bison Invite

    LEWISBURG, PA - Mason Jones posted the fastest time this season for any NCAA Division II freshman in a 10,000-meter run as members of the Florida Southern men's track competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic here at the Christy-Mathewson Memorial Stadium on the campus of Bucknell University. Jones posted a 30:59.26 to finish in 33rd place. Earlier this season, Jones recorded the ninth fastest freshman time in the 5,000-meter at the Pepsi Florida Relays with a time of 14:54.87 on March 29.
  • Men's Track Continues Spring Season at ERAU Spikes Classic

    DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Bobby Ormsby posted a 3:53.71 in the 1,500-meter race to finish second by three-tenths of a second to highlight the Moccasins action in day one of the ERAU Spikes Classic here at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The mark was the sixth fastest 1500 in Moccasin history. In addition, Mitchell Kozik took third place in the 3,000-meter race with a 10:02.39 – the third fastest time in FSC history.
  • Ormsby Breaks School Record in 5000-Meter at Pepsi Florida Relays

    GAINESVILLE - Senior Bobby Ormsby ran the fastest 5000-meter time in Florida Southern history with a 14:37.76 to finish 15th out of 41 competitors at the Pepsi Florida Relays held here Thursday at the Percy Beard Track. Ormsby's time shaved over two seconds off the previous record of 14:40.47 set by Ben Martucci, now the Moccasins head coach, at the UNF Spring Break Invitational on March 4, 2011. Ormsby now holds five of the top six fastest Moccasins times in the event.
  • Moccasins Post Three Top 10 Times at USF Invitational

    TAMPA - Josh Wagner, Mitchell Kozik, and Warran Grajalez all placed in the top ten in the 5000-meter race at the USF Invitational on Friday while Evan Williams finished ninth in the 1500-meter race.
  • Jones Runs 9th-Best 1500 Time in FSC History at UCF Event

    ORLANDO, FL - The Florida Southern men's track team continued its spring season with two competitors at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge. Mason Jones placed 10th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:56.48 which is the ninth fastest time in Moccasin history while Josh Wagner turned in a time of 10:00.94 to take sixth place in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
