LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College held its annual Athletic Academic Awards Banquet on Monday evening as it recognized its top student-athletes in an event held at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. More than 500 student-athletes, coaches, staff, and invited guests were in attendance.

SAN MARCOS, TX - Tanguy Dailland and Valentina Gonzalez each finished second in the trick competition, and Allie Nicholson finished second in the women's slalom as Florida Southern College water ski took fourth place at the 2018 Connelly Skis NCWSA National Championships over the weekend. Dailland (5,910 points) finished just 60 points out of first place and was a comfortable 80 points better than the third-place finisher on the men's side. He also placed fifth in the jump competition.
TUPELO, MS - Florida Southern College water ski made its season debut with another solid showing at this year's National Collegiate Water Ski Association (NCWSA) Eastern Regional. The Moccasins placed second overall as a combined men's/women's team as the Florida Southern men took first in the slalom and trick competitions, while the women were second in the slalom, trick, and jump categories. Four different skiers earned individual championships over the weekend.

ZACHARY, LA - Florida Southern College waterski snagged its fourth-straight top four finish at the annual NCWSA National Championships this past weekend at Tri-Lakes. The Moccasins tallied 11,240 points to finish well ahead of fifth-place Rollins (9,150). UL Monroe, UL Lafayette and Alabama finished in the top three spots in order. ULM finished with 12,165 points with first place finishes in the slalom and jump, while Alabama brought home the team trick title.
GROVELAND, FL - Florida Southern College water ski placed third overall at the annual NCWSA East Regional over the weekend. The Moccasin men and women each finished third in their respective divisions, compiling a total of 5,325 points to finish behind East Region champion Alabama and runner-up Rollins. Individually, three Mocs finished first in their portions of the competition as Cole McCormick took first in the men's slalom while Samantha Dumala was the women's slalom champion and Valentina Gonzale won the women's jump.
