As a sophomore (2017-18)… WGCA Second Team All-American… All-South Region… First Team All-Sunshine State Conference… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Team MVP for the second year in a row… SSC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for February 5… Finished the season ranked No. 23 in the individual Golfstat rankings… First sophomore or freshman to earn All-American honors for the FSC women’s golf team in eight years… The only player on the roster to play in all 14 events, including the NCAA Division II National Finals for which she qualified as an individual (first Moccasin to advance as an individual qualifier since Heather Burgner in 2008)… Tied for 34th out of 72 golfers at the national tournament, played at Bay Oaks CC in Houston where she shot a 307 (76-79-77-75)… Led the Moccasins with a 74.69 stroke average, the second-lowest in team history behind Burgner’s 74.27 in 2008-09… Had 10 tournament top-10 finishes, which was one shy of Burgner’s school record… Had six top-fives… Posted an individual winning percentage of .868, also the best on the team… Best finishes came at the Barton Invitational (Feb. 3-4) and the NCAA Division II Super Regional (May 7-9) where she tied for third in each, the first one in a field of 80, and the super regional in a field of 66… Tied for fourth in two other tournaments, including the Lady Moc Classic (Feb. 19-20) with a one-under par 215 (73-71-71)… Followed that with another one-under par 215 (76-69-70) at the Peggy Kirk Bell Memorial Invitational (March 5-6) hosted by Rollins, which was good for a sixth-place tie among 100 golfers… That made her the only Moccasin to break par in a tournament during the 2017-18 season… Nearly had a third tournament under-par, shooting an even-par 144 (71-73) to tie for fourth out of 65 golfers at the Saint Leo Invitational (Oct. 16-17) when the Moccasins played the tournament only as individuals… Tied for eighth at the Sunshine State Conference Championships (April 15-17) with a 10-over par 226 (82-69-75), up 22 spots from her freshman year… The 69 in round two was the best individual score ever shot by a Moccasin at the conference championships… Three weeks later tied for third at the NCAA Division II Super Regional with a six-over-par 222 (78-73-71) to earn her spot at the National Finals… Had Florida Southern’s two best individual rounds of the season with a three-under par 69 in the second round of both the Peggy Kirk Bell Memorial Invitational and the Sunshine State Conference Championships… Had a -2 in the final round of the Peggy Kirk Bell and accounted for eight of Florida Southern’s 11 under-par rounds on the season (the other three were by Tori Higgins)… Team counter in 26 of a possible 30 rounds... Florida Southern’s top golfer in nine of a possible 13 events… Had the Moccasins’ best score, or was tied for the best score, in 18 of a possible 32 rounds, including the Saint Leo Invitational where all of them played as individuals, and the dual match against Kentucky (Jan. 9).

As a freshman (2016-17)… Team MVP… One of three Moccasins to play in all 11 tournaments… Led the Moccasins with a 76.78 stroke average and two top-five finishes… Second on the team to Abbey Williams with four top-10 finishes… Best finishes of the season came in the Nova Southeastern GolfRank Invitational (Oct. 24-25) and the Lady Moc Classic (Feb. 20-21) where she placed third in each of them… Florida Southern’s top performer in four tournaments, including the final two of the regular season at the Barry Women’s Invitational (March 27-28) and the Argonaut Invitational (April 3-4)… Shot an even-par 216 (73-72-71) at the Lady Moc Classic, which featured one of her team-high five sub-par rounds of the season… Best round was a two-under par 70 in the second round of the Sunshine State Conference Championships (April 24), tying the best single-round score any Moccasin has ever had in the conference tournament (equaled record set by Emily Rymer in 2015)… Had one other round of even-par during the season… Tied for 30th at the SSC Championships in her first postseason tournament with a 235 (86-70-79)… Florida Southern’s top golfer in four tournaments and was number two in four others… Had either the Mocs’ top score, or was tied for the top score, in 13 rounds… Team counter in 24 of 27 rounds, second on the team to Abbey Williams.

In high school… 2016 graduate of Lake Gibson High School in Lakeland where she played for head coach Bon DeLong… Played in three straight Class 2A State Finals and capped her high school career with a runner-up finish as a senior in the fall of 2015 with a one-over par 145 (74-71) at the Mission Inn Resort… Was also the regional runner-up as a senior with a 71… As a junior, finished 11th in the State Finals with a score of 154 (77-77)… Also finished third at regionals and second in the district tournament as a high school junior… Played in her first State Finals as a sophomore when she tied for 18th place with a 157 (79-78) after tying for first at the district tournament with a 73 and finishing third at regionals with a 70… Also a regional finalist as a freshman… 3-time team MVP at Lake Gibson… Finished seventh in the USGA Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National in 2014 after winning the regional qualifier… Personal… Daughter of Sheila and Philip Gartrell… Has one younger sister (Haley)… Mother is a former basketball player at the University of South Florida, and father played golf at USF… Aunt, Lydia, played women’s golf at Florida Southern from 1996-2000.
