    LAKELAND, FL – Florida Southern College President Dr. Anne B. Kerr has announced the appointment of Drew Howard as the Moccasins’ new Director of Athletics & Dean of Wellness. The announcement was made on Monday during a press conference at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse picked up win number seven in a row with a 23-7 victory over Belmont Abbey on Thursday night at Moccasin Field. The Mocs (8-1, 1-0 SSC) opened with a 7-0 run over the Crusaders (5-6, 3-1 CC).
  • Women's Lacrosse Raises More Than $2,000 to #StopSuicide

    LAKELAND, FL - In partnership with Lax4Life, Florida Southern College women's lacrosse raised more than $2,000 last weekend to help fight suicide. The Moccasins teamed up with Florida Tech by wearing special shirts during Saturday's game at Moccasin Field, with each player and coach designating a friend, family member, or loved whose name was written on the back of their shirt.
  • Bursinger Earns Second-Straight SSC Defensive Player of Week Honors

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse senior Dani Bursinger earns her second-straight Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors. This is her second award this season and fourth all-time. Bursinger won 13 draw controls as the Mocs defeated both Slippery Rock (20-7) and Florida Tech (16-4).
  • Benedetto Sisters Lead Moccasins to Tenth-Straight Victory Against Florida Tech

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse defeated Florida Tech for the tenth-straight time with a 16-4 victory on Saturday afternoon at Moccasin Field. The Benedetto sisters teamed up for six goals and two assists as the Mocs (7-1, 1-0 SSC) handed the Panthers (5-4, 0-1 SSC) their fourth loss on the season.   
  • Bannatyne's Four Goal Night Leads Moccasins to Fifth-Straight Victory

    LAKELAND, FL - Riley Bannatyne records a season-high four goals as Florida Southern College women's lacrosse picked up its fifth-straight win. The Mocs (6-1) opened on a 3-0 run over Slippery Rock (1-2) in route to a 20-7 victory. 
  • Bursinger, Grady Sweep SSC Players of the Week

    MELBOURNE, FL - Sarah Grady and Dani Bursinger were named offensive and defensive players of the week for games played from March 4-10. The duo earns the honors after helping guide Florida Southern College women's lacrosse to a 3-0 trip in North Carolina. The Mocs defeated Catawba (23-2), Wingate (21-7), and No. 22 Queens (14-12). 
  • Second Half Goal Surge Propels Mocs to Royal Victory

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse struggled at the start of the game as they trailed from the opening goal and found themselves having to even the score back up against the Queens University of Charlotte Royals on Sunday afternoon. The Mocs (5-1) powered back to take a 9-8 lead over the host Royals (3-2) in the second half, a lead Florida Southern would hang on to till the final horn. 
  • Glinecki's Four Goals Lead Moccasins to Third-Straight Victory

    LAKELAND, FL - In the first meeting between the two programs, Florida Southern College women's lacrosse picked up a 20-7 victory at Wingate on Friday afternoon. The Mocs (4-1) used a seven-point game by Grace Glinecki to put the Bulldogs (2-3) under .500. 
  • Seventeen First-Half Goals More than Enough in Mocs Victory at Catawba

    LAKELAND, FL - Offense took control early in Florida Southern College women's lacrosse victory at Catawba. The Mocs (3-1) cruised out to a 17-0 halftime lead over the host Indians (1-3) on Thursday afternoon. 
  • Thirteen Different Moccasins Score as FSC Tops Seton Hill

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse picked up its second win of the season with a 21-9 victory over Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon at Moccasin Field. The Mocs (2-1) rallied off a string of six straight goals, and seven straight goals to take a 15-4 halftime lead over the visiting Griffins (1-1).
  • Florida Southern Drops Afternoon Contest to Adelphi

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse dropped its first game of the season with an 11-9 loss to No. 2 Adelphi. The Mocs (1-1) saw the Panthers (2-0) open the game on a 3-0 run before they were able to tie the game at four.
  • Balanced Attack Leads Mocs Past Hawks In Season Opener

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse opened the season on a 9-0 run en route to a 19-7 victory over Rockhurst on Thursday night at Moccasin Field. The No. 3 Moccasins (1-0) used goals from 11 different players to keep the Hawks (0-2) still searching for their first victory of 2019. Grace Glinecki lead the offense with three goals on the evening. 
  • Women's Lacrosse Season Opens Season Against Rockhurst

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse will open 2019 season at Moccasin Field when they take on Rockhurst (Feb. 14). The Moccasins, who are ranked No. 3 in the nation entering the season, are also the favorites to win their fifth straight Sunshine State Conference title.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse has been tabbed as the No. 3 team in the nation in the IWLCA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll. The Moccasins, who were the national runners-up in 2018, finished with 578 points to come in third behind defending national champion, Le Moyne and 2017 national champion, Adelphi.

  • Women's Lacrosse Announces 2019 Schedule

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse head coach Kara Reber released her schedule for the 2019 season on Wednesday. Entering its second season on Moccasin Field at the Barnett Athletic Complex, the Mocs will take to the field nine times a home. Florida Southern will make two trips out of the state of Florida with trips to North Carolina (March 7-10) and Ohio (April 12-14).
