    Registration is now open for The FSC Goalkeeper Camp, a specialized camp designed to give goalkeepers the opportunity to experience a NCAA Division 2 training environment and to be evaluated by our FSC coaching staff. The camp will include several technical training sessions and a game of goalkeeper wars.

    MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Southern College had 75 student-athletes named to the Fall SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, the Sunshine State Conference announced on Friday. The Moccasins ranked second among all SSC schools in the total number of student-athletes honored, and had the most with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (27).

    LAKELAND - Director of Athletics Pete Meyer has announced the hiring of Paul Lawrence as the new head coach of the Florida Southern College women’s soccer program. Lawrence is joining the Moccasins from Knox College in Illinois where he spent the last three seasons as head coach after previously serving as assistant coach at Northwood University in Michigan for two years.

  • Juliana Guida Named to Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team

    Junior defender Juliana Guida has been selected to the Academic All-District Team as one of the 12 players in the South Region with the best combination of athletic and academic accomplishments. Guida, who has a perfect 4.00 grade point average while majoring in biology, is now eligible for the Academic All-American Team which will be announced on November 21.

  • Florida Southern Soccer Teams Again Rank Among the Top Academic Programs in the Country

    The Florida Southern soccer teams made it five years in a row where both squads were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American with the annual Team Academic Award. The men's team has now earned that award 10 consecutive years, while the women have been on the list for the last five. The men were tied for #3 among all Division II schools with their 3.45 team GPA, and the women were 13th with a team GPA of 3.56.

    LAKELAND – Nastasia Asgedom scored the only goal of the night in the 78th minute and goalkeeper Caroline Frykgard kept Florida Southern from scoring with seven saves as the University of Tampa (3-6, 2-2 Sunshine State Conference) came away with a 1-0 win over the Moccasins (1-3-1, 1-2) at Barnett Field Wednesday night.

    LAKELAND – Florida Southern head women’s soccer coach Siggi Nagele has announced two changes to the Moccasins’ October schedule brought about by earlier postponements. Florida Southern has added a game on Wednesday, October 12 at Florida Gulf Coast University, and re-scheduled a home game against Palm Beach Atlantic for Friday, October 28.

PETERSBURG – Anna Griessler scored her third goal of the season, Helena Norrstrom recorded her first shutout, and head coach Siggi Nagele got his first win as Florida Southern’s head coach against his former team as the Moccasins out-lasted Eckerd 1-0 Wednesday night in another game marred by a lengthy weather delay. The win gives Florida Southern a 1-2-1 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the Sunshine State Conference, while Eckerd is now 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the SSC.

    DAVIE – Florida Southern opened up Sunshine State Conference play Wednesday night on the road at Nova Southeastern and saw Nichole Poppe score once in each half to give the Sharks a 2-0 win. The Moccasins fall to 0-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the SSC, and the Sharks are now 5-1, 1-0.

    PENSACOLA – Florida Southern wrapped up its 2-game road trip to the northern Gulf Coast with a strong showing against one of the country’s traditional Division II powers, but a West Florida goal with four seconds remaining gave the Argonauts a 2-1 win over the Moccasins. Florida Southern is now 0-1-1, while West Florida is 2-2.
  • Belated Season Opener Ends in 1-1 Draw at Spring Hill

    SPRING HILL, ALA. – Florida Southern received a goal early in the second half from sophomore Anna Griessler, and Spring Hill got a goal late in the second half from Gabrielle Burmaster as the Moccasins and Badgers played to a 1-1 tie Friday afternoon. The game was the first of the season for Florida Southerrn after two cancellations last weekend due to weather.
  • Former Moccasin Soccer Player Jackie Bachteler Lands Head Coaching Job With First Division Club in Cyprus

    Five years after graduating from Florida Southern College, former Moccasin soccer player Jackie Bachteler has been named the women’s head coach of Anarthosis Famagusta in Cyprus. Since her graduation, Bachteler has been playing and coaching in Sweden, and will now be moving to the Mediterranean to continue her professional soccer career. Anarthosis Famagusta finished third in the Cypriot Women’s First Division during the 2015-16 season.
