The Moccasins' Julia Borecka is one of eight players chosen for the first-team All-Sunshine State Conference Volleyball Team announced Thursday.
The senior from Jaworze, Poland, led FSC in kills (437) and hitting percentage (.300) this season. She was second on the team in blocks (52) and third on the team in aces (27) and digs (257).
Borecka was joined on the first team by Saint Leo's Emily Calderon-Reyes, Kaitlin McKenna and Michelle Nogueras, Tampa's Kaleigh Cunningham and Melissa Vanderhall and Eckerd's Lydee Benoit.
FSC's Anne Pietkiewicz was one of seven players named to the All-Freshman Team. Pietkiewicz led the Moccasins in aces (32) and was second on the team in kills (271) and digs (279).
Saint Leo's Sam Cibrone was named Coach of the Year after guiding his team to a share of the SSC title with Tampa. For the second straight year, Tampa's Melissa Vanderhall was named Player of the Year. Nova Southeastern's Carly Perschnick was named Freshman of the Year.
