  • Florida Southern Moves to 3-1 on the Season with 2-0 Win at Delta State

    CLEVELAND, Miss. - Florida Southern College women's soccer moved back into the win column as it picked up win number three on the season. For the second time in two games, Madison Hald opened the game's scoring with a goal in the 13' minute. This would eventually become the Mocs (3-1) only goal needed to beat the host Delta State (0-1-2). For the third time this season, Freshmen Jenny Staten turned in a clean sheet.

  • Moccasins Split Matches on Final Day of USC Aiken Invitational

    AIKEN, S.C. - Florida Southern College volleyball split a pair of matches on Saturday at the USC Aiken Convocation Center, defeating Lee, 3-1, and falling to Lander, 3-0. The Moccasins (2-5) had a strong defensive outing against the Flames (4-2), but struggled to find their footing offensively against Lander (5-1). The Moccasins will now turn their attention to the opening weekend of conference action against Saint Leo on Sept. 20 and Eckerd on Sept. 21.

  • Moccasins Fall to Union (Tenn.) for First Loss of 2019

    CLEVELAND, Miss. - Florida Southern College women's soccer dropped its first contest of the season in a 2-1 double-overtime neutral-site loss to Union (Tenn.). Despite 16 shots on the night as the Bulldogs (1-0) fought back to hand the Mocs (2-1) the loss. Madison Hald had the only goal for Florida Southern early in the second half. Freshmen Jenny Staten's scoreless minute's streak ended at 258:04 to start her career.  
  • Volleyball Drops Close Match to Pacers

    AIKEN, S.C. - Florida Southern College volleyball fell in its opening match of the USC Aiken Invitational as they lost 3-0 to the tournament host on Friday night at the USC Aiken Convocation Center. The Moccasins (1-4) battled the Pacers (5-0) in every set, dropping the first set 27-25 and the second and third sets by identical 25-21 scorelines. The Mocs will look to rebound tomorrow as they take on Lee (10 a.m.) and Lander (3 p.m.).
  • FSC Men's Golf Set to Open 2019 Fall Season

    LAKELAND, Fla. - There is plenty of optimism surrounding the 2019-20 Florida Southern College men’s golf team, as the Mocs are ranked No. 4 in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches Poll. The team has now been ranked in the top five of the GCAA Preseason Coaches Poll in five-straight seasons, and are coming off a national semifinal appearance a year ago.
  • Van Emburgh Adds Six Newcomers for 2019-20

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College men’s tennis head coach Greg Van Emburgh has added six newcomers to the Moccasin squad for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The three transfers and three freshmen will join the team in its third year under Van Emburgh as the program looks to build on a 2018-19 season that saw them upset No. 12 Palm Beach Atlantic and Division-I foe New Jersey Tech.

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College women's soccer has earned some regional recognition after opening the season 2-0 for the first time in over a decade. The Moccasins came in seven in the South Region in this week's United Soccer Coaches South Region poll after a pair of 1-0 wins over Shorter and Georgia College last week.
  • Bellotto Adds Triner to 2020 Staff

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College softball head coach Chris Bellotto has announced the addition of Monica "Mo" Triner to the coaching staff for the 2020 season. Triner comes to Florida Southern following nearly ten years of service to her alma mater, the University of South Florida. Most recently she has been providing private lessons in the Tampa Bay area.

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College women's soccer closed out the first homestand of the season with a 1-0 victory over Georiga College on Sunday afternoon on Moccasin Field at the Barnett Athletic Complex. The two teams were evenly matched up as the Mocs (2-0) capitalized on a costly foul by the Bobcats (0-2) early in the second half. For the second consecutive match, freshmen Jenny Staten kept the opposition out of the back of the net to keep Georgia College still searching for that first victory of 2019. 
  • Moccasins Earn First Win of the Season, Fall in Tournament Finale at Terrace Hotel Classic

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College volleyball earned their first win of the season against Indiana (Pa.) and dropped the last match of the Terrace Hotel Classic against No. 17 Central Missouri on Saturday at the Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (1-3) emerged victorious over the Crimson Hawks (0-3) in a 3-2, five-set thriller in the morning before falling 3-0 to the Jennies (3-1) in the tournament finale.

    MONTEVALLO, ALA. – The Florida Southern College men’s soccer team (0-0-1) earned a hard fought draw in the 2019 season opener, at the University of Montevallo (0-0-1) on Friday night. Graduate student Philip Faderl made five saves between the posts in his debut with the Mocs.

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College women's soccer opened its season on Friday night with its first win of the 2019 season on Moccasin Field. Freshmen Jenny Staten made her collegiate debut and kept Shorter University off the scoreboard for the entire 90 minutes. Florida Southern dominated the offensive zone throughout the course of the game maintaining possession for more than sixty percent of the game. The Mocs' (1-0) Rachel Peck knocked home the game-winning goal in the 70th minute to give the Hawks (0-1) their first loss of the new season.

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College volleyball had a tough start to the 2019 season on Friday night, as the Moccasins lost in two 3-1 contests to No. 5 Concordia-St. Paul and Hillsdale on the first day of the Terrace Hotel Classic at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The Mocs (0-2) faced two quality opponents in the No. 5 Golden Bears (1-1) and the Chargers (2-0), the latter of which upset Concordia-St. Paul in the first match of the tournament in a five-set thriller.

    LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College volleyball team will open the 2019 season at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House on Sept. 6 as they host No. 5 Concordia-St. Paul at 3 p.m. and Hillsdale at 7 p.m. The second day of the Terrace Hotel Classic will see two more matches for the Moccasins against Indiana (Pa.) and No. 17 Central Missouri at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively. The Mocs are entering their second year under head coach Chris Keen, who led his squad to a 22-11 record and a South Region semifinal appearance in his first year at the helm.

    LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's soccer team will take to the field to open the 2019 season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 when it hosts Shorter University. Paul Lawrence will begin his third season as the head coach of the Moccasins as they get set to host a pair of games on opening weekend. Game two will bring the Bobcats of Georgia College (Sept. 8) to Moccasin Field to close out the first homestand of the season. A season ago, the Mocs finished with a 5-10-1 record and narrowly missed out on a spot in the Sunshine State Conference tournament.

  • SSC Releases Men's Soccer Preseason Poll

    MELBOURNE, Fla. - Florida Southern College was picked to finish sixth in the conference in 2019 as the Sunshine State Conference released its men's soccer preseason poll on Tuesday afternoon. 2018 SSC regular season and Tournament Champion Palm Beach Atlantic earned the No. 1 position with 96 total points and seven first-place votes while Lynn came in at No. 2 with 83 total points and a first-place vote. 2018 National Champion Barry received the No. 3 nod with 81 total points and a first-place vote, Nova Southeastern the No. 4 nod with 76 total points and two first-place votes, and rounding out the top five was Florida Tech with 71 total points.
