  • Wilson Earns 2019 MVP Honors

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Throughout the month of July, Florida Southern College Athletics will release its list of team MVPs for the 2018-19 season. Each MVP was selected by the team's head coach, and the list includes some of the top student-athletes in the country. MVPs will be revealed each weekday during the month at 10 a.m., and a list of their scheduled release dates can be found below.

  • Florida Southern Finishes 18th in Final Learfield Cup Standings

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - Florida Southern College finished 18th in the final 2018-19 NCAA Division II Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, it was announced this week. The Moccasins made a combined 11 NCAA postseason appearances this past year, including top-10 finishes in men's golf (third), women's basketball (ninth) and women's lacrosse (ninth).
  • Beach Volleyball Signs Bozeman for 2020 Season

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College beach volleyball head coach Hyrum Kieme announces the signing of Linzy Bozeman for the 2020 season. Bozeman is a native of Tampa, Florida where she attended Tampa Preparatory School and spent her freshman and sophomore years as a member of the indoor volleyball team. 
  • Goodrich and Greco Named AVCA Top Flight for 2019

    LEXINGTON, KY - Florida Southern beach volleyball's duo of Haley Goodrich and Celia Greco were recognized as an AVCA Top Flight for 2019. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) revealed the 2nd annual class of AVCA Top Flight award winners on Wednesday. Introduced in 2018, this awards program is designed to recognize excellence in collegiate beach volleyball from all over the country and across all flights. 
  • Mattson, Holmes Earn Pat McFadden Awards

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College held its annual Athletic Academic Awards Banquet on Monday evening as it recognized its top student-athletes in an event held at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. More than 500 student-athletes, coaches, staff, and invited guests were in attendance.
  • Florida Southern Finishes Sixth at AVCA Small College Championships

    TAVARAS, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball finished the 2019 season with a sixth-place finish at the AVCA Small College Championships at Hickory Point Beach. After a torrential downpour altered the day one schedule the Mocs finished the first day with a victory over Carson-Newman and loss to Lincoln Memorial. Returning to complete the day one schedule the Mocs fell to Spring Hill on Saturday dropping them to 1-2 in the first round of pool play. The second day Florida Southern picked up a victory over Tusculum be before falling to the eventual national runner-up Texas A&M Kingsville. Sitting at 2-3 on the weekend the Mocs were put in the Silver Playoffs where they defeated Lincoln Memorial in the first round and then fell to Saint Leo in the finals. 
  • Florida Southern Earns No. Five Seed at AVCA Small College Championships

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball has earned the number five see at the 2019 AVCA Small College Championship. The three-day tournament will take place at Hickory Point Beach in Tavaras, FL on April 19-21. 
  • Florida Southern Swept by FIU in Regular Season Finale

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball fell in straight sets to No. 8 Florida International on Wednesday. The Mocs (11-12) faced a tough opponent in the Panther (14-9) who entered the match winners of three of the last four matches including wins over nationally ranked opponents in Florida State and Florida Atlantic.
  • Beach Volleyball Extends Home Win Streak to Seven

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball earned a 3-2 win over Saint Leo on senior day. The Mocs (11-11) picked up early wins on the number two and four courts to open the match 2-0 over the Lions (8-10). 
  • Beach Volleyball Drops Both Matches 5-0 on Saturday

    TAMPA, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball dropped a pair of 5-0 matches to both Tampa and Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday afternoon. Florida Southern faced the Eagles for the second time this week and suffered the same result.

    LAKELAND, FL -  Florida Southern College beach volleyball head coach Hyrum Kieme has added a final home match to the 2019 schedule. The Mocs will take on Florida International University on April 10 at 4 p.m. The match will be played at the Ruthven Beach Courts on Florida Southern's campus.

    ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball improved to 10-8 on the season with 4-1 victories over Lincoln Memorial and Eckerd in St. Petersburg on Tuesday afternoon. The Mocs took down the Lady Railsplitters for the second straight day.

    LAKELAND, FL – Florida Southern College President Dr. Anne B. Kerr has announced the appointment of Drew Howard as the Moccasins’ new Director of Athletics & Dean of Wellness. The announcement was made on Monday during a press conference at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House.
  • Beach Volleyball Sweeps Competition on Monday

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball picked up a pair of victories on Tuesday afternoon. The Mocs (8-8) defeated Lincoln Memorial (0-2) and North Alabama (4-7) at the Ruthven Beach Courts. Florida Southern began the day with a 4-1 victory over Lincoln Memorial and closed the night out with a 3-2 victory over Division I foe North Alabama. 
  • Florida Southern Takes Two From Stevenson

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball surpassed last years win total by taking two from Stevenson on Saturday. The Mocs (6-8) won all five games in the first match over the Mustangs (3-7) and won the second match 4-1 to complete the sweep.

    SAINT LEO, FL - Florida Southern College Beach Volleyball fell at Saint Leo 3-2 on Thursday afternoon. The Mocs (4-8) picked up wins on the fourth and fifth courts over the Lions (6-8).
  • Beach Volleyball Wins Two Matches at College of Charleston Tournament

    CHARLESTON, S.C. - Florida Southern College Beach Volleyball picks up two wins on the second day of the College of Charleston tournament. The Mocs (4-7) defeated Carson-Newman and Huntingdon on Saturday. Florida Southern dropped a pair of 0-5 matches to Charleston Southern on the first day and closed out the tournament with a 1-4 loss to Texas A&M - Kingsville. 
  • Beach Volleyball Spends Spring Break Volunteering for Habitat For Humanity

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball spent part of spring break volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. The team assisted the 43-year old non-profit organization in building two homes in the Lakeland area on Wednesday morning. 
  • Mocs Sweep UT-Martin with a Pair of 3-2 Victories

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball defeated UT - Martin in both matches on a cold and rainy Tuesday morning in March. Florida Southern (2-4) picked up both wins over UT-Martin (2-4) by 3-2 decisions. Six of the nine matchups went to a third and deciding set. Both of the matches in the doubleheader were decided in the final set on the final court. The morning began with a come from behind two set victory from the number four court with Katie Bergeron and Morgan Cleary (18-21, 21-16, 15-10) defeating Lindsey Geurin and Jessica Reynolds.
  • Beach Volleyball Kicked off the 2019 Season at FAU's Paradise at the Burrow

    BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball competed in Florida Atlantic University's Paradise at the Burrow to open its season over the weekend. The Moccasins (0-4) dropped all four matches on the weekend. They opened the season with a 4-0 loss to North Florida (3-1) before dropping an afternoon match to Webber International, 4-1.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball is set to begin its second season in program history. The Moccasins are led by second-year head coach Hyrum Keime. The 2019 schedule for the Mocs features teams from all three divisions including the 2018 Small College Champion in Texas A&M Kingsville.

    LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball head coach Hyrum Keime has released his team's schedule for the upcoming 2019 season, and the Moccasins are slated to play four home contests this year. The Mocs will host UT-Martin (March 5), Stevenson (March 23), Lincoln Memorial (March 25), and North Alabama (March 25).

    LAKELAND, FL - Nearly 100 Florida Southern College student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff participated in the annual "Out of the Darkness" Community Walk around Lake Hollingsworth on Saturday to benefit the Central Florida chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
