LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Southern College esports Rocket League team dominated in its opening match of the NACE Rocket League Championship, sweeping Hood in a 3-0 rout. The Moccasins (8-3) outscored the Blazers (5-6) by a 13-2 margin. FSC now advances to the bracket semifinal against UT Dallas B broadcasted on the program's Twitch channel at FSCMocs.com/twitch, with the winner facing the victor of the No. 2 Aquinas and No. 3 Lebanon Valley Blue semifinal match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

    • The match remained scoreless until, with three seconds remaining, Disorder (Cody Lowe) scored the game-winner.
  • Moccasins 8 - 1 Blazers
    • FSC set the tone early, with Pranzor6 (Isaac Garay) tallying five goals and Disorder netting a hattrick.
  • Moccasins 4 - 1 Blazers
    • Disorder dominated with four goals to seal the match for the Moccasins.

The tournament will continue with the bracket finals and overall semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 7. The winners of the semifinal matches on Nov. 7 will meet for an in-person final at DreamHack Atlanta on Nov. 17.
