    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Florida Southern College men's basketball standouts Brett Hanson and Jalyn Hinton have been named to the initial Top 100 Watch List for the prestigious Bevo Francis Award, it was announced on Wednesday by Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee.

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The 11th ranked Florida Southern College men's basketball team survived a frantic finish on Wednesday night, edging host Eckerd College, 92-84. The Mocs improve to 14-2 on the season, and remain in second place in the Sunshine State Conference with a 6-2 mark. Eckerd is now 6-10 overall, and 2-6 within the SSC. Six different Mocs scored at least 11 points, led by Brett Hanson’s 19. Jalyn Hinton added 18, followed by Jair Rodgers with 14. E.J. Dambreville, Xavier Rhodes, and Jack Rauch added 11 apiece.
