IN HIGH SCHOOL… 2017 graduate of Durant High School in nearby Plant City… 2-time First Team All-Western Conference… Qualified for the Class 3A State Tournament as a freshman after placing third at regionals… Did not compete for his high school team as a sophomore but returned as a junior and set the school nine-hole scoring record with a 32… Premier Junior Tour Player-of-the-Year in 2015... Had a 73.5 stroke average in his first season on the Premier Junior Tour (2014), playing in nine tournaments and finishing with the #1 overall ranking in the men’s 16-19-year-old division… Began that season by winning his first three tournaments before finishing second at the Clicgear Major Championship at Reunion Resort… Later won two more tournaments and finished 2014 by capturing the title at the Heritage Isles Junior Shootout with a score of six-under par 138… In 2015, dropped his stroke average on the Premier Junior Tour down to 72.3, and finished first or second in all 10 tournaments… Shot a seven-under par 137 at the East Lake Woodlands Junior Open and a five-under par 139 to win the Ogio Major Championship… Tied for 18th at the Florida State Golf Association Boys’ Junior Amateur Championship in both 2015 and 2016 before finishing third in 2017… Had three wins and one runner-up finish on the FSGA schedule in 2016, with six top-10 finishes among his eight tournaments… One of those wins came in the 16-18-year-old division at the FSGA Tour Championship at Adena Golf & Country Club in Ocala where he shot a four-under par 140… Had five more top-10 finishes and two wins during the first half of the 2017 calendar year on the FSGA Tour.
