Ward Adds Humphrey, May to 2020 Roster

LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse head coach Marty Ward announced the additions of Tyler Humphrey and Ed May to the 2020 roster. 

Tyler Humphrey
5-10 | 190 | Susquehanna University
 
Humphrey joins the Mocs from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. In two seasons for the River Hawks, he played in 28 games recording 10 points on eight goals and two assists. He put the game-winning goal in the back of the net twice as a sophomore in the season opener against Lycoming (9-8) and at Marywood (16-5). He also picked up 20 ground balls. 
Academic honors include Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics National Honors Society, First Honors Student, and four years All-Academic team. Athletic honors include Pope John XXIII HS MVP, All-State Non-Public Schools, Ist Team All-Division, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-County. As a senior at Pope John, he helped lead the team to win the conference title and to the semi-final state championship, he also holds the New Jersey high school record with eight goals in a single game and the high school record for single-season goals. Four-year starter and finished his high school career with 104 goals, 56 assists, and 110 ground balls. 
 
Ed May

May joins Florida Southern after his sophomore year at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He recorded a goal in four games played for the Red Foxes. He hails from Lafayette, NJ. where he was four-year varsity starter at Pope John XXIII high school accumulating 106 goals, 44 assists, and 255 ground balls. May was selected as the team captain from 2015-2017 and was named the MVP for the 2017 season. In addition to lacrosse, May was a four-year starter for the boys soccer team at Pope John XXIII and was the captain in 2017. During his sophomore year at Marist, he recorded a goal against the University of North Carolina.
