Men's Tennis Spoils Panther Senior Day With 7-0 Sweep

SATELLITE BEACH, FL - Florida Southern College men's tennis earned a 7-0 sweep over Florida Tech on Saturday afternoon at the Desoto Tennis Center. The No. 36 Moccasins (9-11, 3-4 SSC) gave up only two sets to the Panthers 5-11 (1-6 SSC) out of 16 total sets. The sweep is the first for the Moccasins over the Panthers since Feb. 18, 2011 at Florida Tech.

The match was the last home game in the history of Florida Tech men's tennis as the team will discontinue at the conclusion of this spring. The all-time series will go to the Moccasins (26-1), including an undefeated 13-0 record at home and an 8-1 record away. Head coach Greg Van Emburgh will finish with a 2-0 record against the Panthers after Saturday's match and last season's 7-2 victory at home.
