  • Four Mocs Head to Finals at Varner Memorial Invitational

    WINTER PARK, Fla. – Four Moccasins earned spots in singles flight finals on Saturday as Florida Southern College men’s tennis competed at the Rollins Varner Memorial Invitational. Valentin Hertweck and Chase Martin will face off in the flight B final while Oscar Sohl will play in the flight C final and Pablo Salamanca in the flight D final. The Moccasins will finish competing at the Varner Memorial Invitational with the conclusion of singles and doubles flights on Sunday.

    WINTER PARK, Fla. – Three Florida Southern College men’s tennis pairings are set for flight finals as the Moccasins competed in doubles action on Friday afternoon at the Varner Memorial Invitational at the John Tiedtke Courts. The pairings of Valentin Hertweck and Pablo Salamanca, Brandon Pham and Brian Pham, as well as Danny Thomas and Miroslav Cvjetan, will all play in flight finals, with the latter two facing each other. The Mocs will now turn to singles action all-day on Saturday

    PENSACOLA, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis concluded its ITA tournament action on Saturday afternoon at West Florida. The Moccasins fell in competition with individuals and pairings from Embry-Riddle, West Florida and Palm Beach Atlantic. The squad will now turn its attention to the Lake Nona Invite in Orlando.

    PENSACOLA, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis had singles success early but was unable to advance to the round of 16 at the ITA South Regional at West Florida on Friday. The Moccasins will continue with ITA South Regional action today in Pensacola.
  • Martin and Cvjetan Emerge Victorious at Sailfish Invitational

    WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis excelled on the final day of action at the Sailfish Invitational on Sunday, with Chase Martin emerging victorious in the No. 6 singles flight final and pairing with Miroslav Cvjetan to additionally win the No. 3 doubles flight final. The Moccasins finished the day 7-1 in singles play and 3-1 in doubles play. The squad will now turn its attention to the ITA South Regional this upcoming weekend.

    WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis will have a guaranteed singles champion at the Sailfish Invitational, as Chase Martin and Danny Thomas advanced to the finals of their singles flight at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center on Saturday. Martin and Thomas defeated opponents from Rollins, Saint Leo and Lynn to earn their spots in the No. 6 singles flight final, which will take place today. The invitational will conclude today with the final matches for all singles and doubles flights.

    WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Florida Southern College men's tennis competed in doubles action on the first day of the Fall Sailfish Invitational at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The pairings of Miroslav Cvjetan and Chase Martin, as well as Valentin Hertweck and Erik Nordblom, were the doubles winners of the day for the Moccasins. Tournament action continues today as the Mocs prepare for singles fixtures.
  • Van Emburgh Adds Six Newcomers for 2019-20

    LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern College men’s tennis head coach Greg Van Emburgh has added six newcomers to the Moccasin squad for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The three transfers and three freshmen will join the team in its third year under Van Emburgh as the program looks to build on a 2018-19 season that saw them upset No. 12 Palm Beach Atlantic and Division-I foe New Jersey Tech.
