Florida Southern Water Ski Ranked No. 1

POLK CITY, FL - Florida Southern College water ski has moved up to the No. 1 ranking in the nation, the National Collegiate Water Ski Association recently announced.

The Moccasins are tied with UL Lafayette with a team score of 52,445. Florida Southern's ranking comes on the strength of its team performance in the slalom, where it ranks first overall.

The Florida Southern men rank first nationally in the slalom, while the women are second. The Mocs are fourth as a team in the jump category and fifth in the trick competition. Florida Southern's men are second in the trick and fourth in the jump, while the women are fourth in the jump and fifth in the trick.

Florida Southern boasts the top overall rank on the men's side, and are fourth overall on the women's side.

Several individuals are also ranked for the Moccasins. On the men's side, Cole McCormick, Thibaut Dailland and Tanguy Dailland are first, second and fourth, respectively, in the slalom.

Allie Nicholson and Samantha Dumala are first and second in the slalom on the women's side, while Ellie Rae Horton ranks fifth in the jump and trick categories.

Florida Southern finished third at the NCWSA National Championships in October, and finished second in the NCWSA East Regional in September.
