TAMPA, FL - Florida Southern College women's lacrosse will look to take another step towards its second NCAA Division II National Championship when it faces No. 13 East Stroudsburg in the NCAA Tournament semifinal round at 11 a.m. on Friday at the UT Lacrosse Stadium. The No. 3 Moccasins (20-1) defeated Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Tech by a 19-10 score on May 12 to punch their ticket to Tampa, while the Warriors (15-3) upset previously unbeaten West Chester by a 16-14 final to reach the national semifinals.

MOCCASIN STORYLINES
•    Florida Southern is looking to bring home its second national title in the last three seasons. The Moccasins finished as the national runner-up last year after defeating Adelphi in the championship game in 2016.

•  A win by the Mocs in Friday's game would put FSC in position to grab the school's 31st NCAA National Championship in a team sport. Florida Southern has one at least one team national title in each of the past three years (men's basketball - 2015, women's lacrosse - 2016, men's golf - 2017).

• If Florida Southern can win a national championship this season, the Moccasins would finish the year with 22 wins, tying the NCAA Division II record for wins in a single season (Adelphi - 2014).

• The Mocs advanced to their third-straight national semifinal by overcoming an 8-7 deficit in the second half to defeat No. 6 Florida Tech 19-10 in the South Region title game. FSC outscored FIT 12-2 over the final 25 minutes of action to pick up their eighth-straight win.

•  Shannon Gilfedder finished with a career-high seven goals in the victory, falling just one shy of tying the school record for goals in a single game (Kendall Kerge - 8).

• Florida Southern is 6-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and is making its fourth-straight appearance in the postseason.

• The Mocs are 2-0 all-time in the national semifinals. Friday's game marks the first-ever meeting between FSC and East Stroudsburg.
