In the first NCAA South Region volleyball rankings for the 2009 season, the Moccasins are ranked sixth.
Sunshine State Conference teams dominate the South Region, claiming eight of the ten spots in the poll. Saint Leo is ranked first, followed by Tampa. Lynn and Eckerd are ranked fourth and fifth, ahead of the Moccasins, with Florida Tech seventh, Barry eighth and Nova Southeastern ninth.
