With Julia Borecka, Kelly Sherman and Anna Greenwood combining for 46 kills, the Moccasins stretched their winning streak to four straight matches with a 25-17, 15-25, 26-24, 25-23 win at Florida Tech Saturday night.
The win boosts the Moccasins' overall record to 14-12 and gets their Sunshine State Conference record back to .500 at 5-5. Florida Tech falls to 11-10, 2-8 in the SSC.
Borecka led FSC with 17 kills, hit .405 for the match, added 11 digs for her 11th double-double of the season and recorded a career-high five blocks.
With the match tied at one set apiece and the third set tied at 24-24, Borecka delivered back-to-back kills to put the Moccasins ahead two sets to one.
In the fourth set, a Florida Tech error put FSC ahead 23-22, then Kelly Sherman delivered a kill to give the Moccasins a 24-22 advange. After the Panthers scored to make it 24-23, Anna Greenwood produced her 14th kill of the match to clinch the win.
Greenwood added 13 digs for her third double-double of the season. Sherman had 15 kills to match her career high and also matched her career high in blocks with six, while Anna Niebuhr delivered 25 assists from her libero position.
The Moccasins return to action Friday with a 7 p.m. match against Lynn at Boca Raton.
