Eighth-ranked Tampa posted its 12th straight win with a 25-23, 25-15, 25-12 win over the Moccasins Saturday night at Jenkins Field House.
In winning those 12 straight matches, the Spartans (26-2) have lost just one set. The win kept the Spartans tied for first place in the Sunshine State Conference with Saint Leo. Both teams are 13-1. The Moccasins fell to 14-16, 5-9 in the SSC, with the loss.
Tampa entered Saturday night's contest with a .325 hitting percentage and hit .427 for the match. Kaleigh Cunningham led the team with 11 kills and hit .346, while Camille Hanks added 10 kills and hit .714.
Natalie Arvizu and Julia Borecka led the Moccasins with nine kills each.
The Moccasins play their final home match of the season Tuesday at 7 p.m. against SSC co-leader Saint Leo.
