SAINT LEO, FL - Florida Southern College beach volleyball dropped its first match of the 2018 Saint Leo Invitational, 5-0, to Jacksonville University on Friday afternoon at the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts. The Moccasins (2-10) fell in straight sets at each position as the Dolphins (1-7) snagged their first win of the year.
Florida Southern's best performances came at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, where the top duo of Sydney Marshall/Makena Wilson took the first set to extra points before falling by a 25-23, 21-14 score. The No. 2 pairing of Lauren Kenny/Allie Geary lost by a score of 24-22, 21-10.
The Mocs wrap up the weekend with three matches on Saturday against Saint Leo (10:40 a.m.), Eckerd (12:40 p.m.) and No. 13 Florida International (2:40 p.m.). Florida Southern is home on March 27 to wrap up its inaugural home slate against Lincoln Memorial (12 p.m.) and Tampa (4 p.m.).
