HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Florida Southern College women's cross country team took ninth overall Saturday morning at the UAH Chargers Invitational. The Moccasins were among 41 teams that competed in Huntsville, Ala. as FSC took ninth overall. Junior
Emma Mussante once again led the way as she too 34
th overall.

Mussante completed the 5K in 18:22.2 to claim her spot. Redshirt junior
Ellie Fluman finished nine spots back in 43
rd after finishing just over 11 seconds behind Mussante at 18:33.6. Graduate student
Cheyenne Young rounded out the top three for the Mocs as she placed 53
rd overall after turning in a time of 18:39.7.

Mya Stam came in 14 spots back in 67
th after completing the course in 18:53.5. The final FSC scorer was freshman
Emma Nales-Torchio who just finished inside the top-100 in 100
th after stopping the clock in 19:17.5.

Emma Pfeiffer and
Ashley Girouard just missed out on the scoring five as they finished 105
th and 107
th, respectively. Pfeiffer cross the finish line in 19:22.3 while Girouard came in at 19:22.9. The next Moccasin pair to finish were senior
Emery Roth and freshman
Kira Mothershed. Roth took 114
th overall while Mothershed placed three spots back in 117
th. Roth was able to stop the clock in 19:26.4 while Mothershed came across just over two seconds later in 19:28.6. Freshman
Grace Reed rounded out the FSC finishers as she came in 143
rd after completing the course in 19:48.4.

Sunshine State Conference foe Tampa took the overall team championship with 61 points while Cedarville claimed second at 72. Flagler rounded out the top three with 102 points. The Mocs finished just behind MSU Denver who scored 241 points for eighth while the Mocs took ninth with 283 points.

The Moccasins will next be in action next Friday, Oct. 13 as they host the SSC Preview Meet at Holloway Park. The race is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
