LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College beach volleyball team remains undefeated after sweeping wins against Barry University and St. John's River Community College on Saturday afternoon at the Judy and Joe P. Ruthven Beach Volleyball Courts.

The Mocs (6-0) handled its match against Barry (1-3) with a 5-0 win and followed up with another 5-0 sweep against St. John's River (1-6). FSC opened each of its two matches with a recognition of student-athlete mental health honoring Morgan's Message.

FLORIDA SOUTHERN 5, BARRY 0
The Mocs had two-set wins on all five of the courts scored, beginning with
Emma Winford and Ashli McKenny 21-14, 21-15 against Barry's Cruz and Baker at court one. At court two,
Sarah Crocker and
Reagan Carlton had a near shutout set one with a 21-4 score and set two 21-13 to win the flight. At No. 3,
Christina Ramazio and Sydney Melcher won 21-13, 21-16 against Turner and Rangel, and
Hayley St. Martin and Mary Olivia Muti 21-18, 21-8 score at #4.

The fifth court of
Hailey Carefoot and
Jackie Schner beat Fox and Montero 21-7, 21-5 in a great final court. In exhibition play,
Madeline Saunders and
Chloe Maxwell beat Forjan and Azevedo 21-12, 21-8.

FLORIDA SOUTHERN 5, ST. JOHN'S RIVER 0
In its second match of the day, the Mocs continued the shutout with another sweeping win against the River. Winford and McKenny won 21-16, 21-17 for their second flight win of the day. Crocker and Carlton had another near-complete shutout with a 21-4, 21-8 score at #2. Ramazio and Melcher won in two sets by a 21-17, 21-14 score as St. Martin and Muti won 21-12, 21-15 in the fourth court.

The final court scored was Carefoot and Schner with a 21-13, 21-11 win to complete a sweep of the day for the Moccasins. In exhibition, Saunders and
Emma Hufford won 21-15, 21-10 against Ridgway and Garcia.

The Mocs return to action at Webber International University next weekend, Feb. 28, for 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. games in Babson Park.
