LAKELAND, Fla. – The third-ranked Florida Southern women's lacrosse started off its spring break with a dominant 18-2 win over Anderson (SC) Sunday afternoon at Berend Field and the Barnett Athletic Complex.

In a week where the Moccasins (3-0) will play four games in seven days in three different states, Florida Southern started things off on a strong showing as 12 different goal scorers found the back of the net with 10 different players notched an assist in the win.
Abby McFerren,
Giana Murphy, and
Hanna Watson paced the Mocs offensively with four points each. McFerren and Watson each with three goals and one assist as Murphy dished out two and scored two in the win.

All three goalies on roster appeared between the pipes for Florida Southern Sunday, with
Rylie Rittberg getting the start and win with one goal against and two saves in 30 minutes.
Rebekah Bargeron made one save in her first 22:24 minutes of action as a Moccasin, while
Chloe Webber made one save in 7:36 of play.

Kassidy Miller each won two.

The Trojans (1-3) saw two different players score in the contest with Ava Skeffington and Megan Muir. Brooke Kelly and Ava Scattareggia each tallied an assist to Skeffington and Muir's goals.

Florida Southern got things going as
Hannah Hale connected with
Abby McFerren for the first goal of the game at 11:14. Anderson tied things up at 8:47 as Ava Scattareggia found Ava Skeffington for the equalizer.Â
Kolby Cohen scored the go-ahead goal with 1:03 to go before McFerren scored her second and the eventual game winner with 0:18 seconds left in the first period (3-1 FSC).

The Mocs exploded for nine goals in the second to take a commanding 12-1 lead at the break. Goal scorers in the period for Florida Southern were Mojsej, Vetter, Falduto, Neubauer (2), Murphy, Watson (2), and McFerren.

Florida Southern would tack on two more in the third period from Guerin and Watson for a 14-1 lead. Â

Abby Resnik got things started in the fourth with her first collegiate goal at the 11:39 mark (15-1).
Peyton Sutton would soon follow with her first collegiate goal on a free position shot.
Mia Williams scored her first goal as a Moc before Resnik found Neubauer for the final Florida Southern goal of the day. The Trojans would get one late goal in as Muir scored the game's final goal with 1:13 to go (18-2 FSC).

No. 3 Florida Southern will remain at home for an early contest against Dominican (NY) on Tuesday, March 4 with the first draw set for 11 a.m. at Berend Field.
