LAKELAND, Fla. — Florida Southern College beach volleyball honored its three seniors (12-4) securing back-to-back victories at the Judy and Joe P. Ruthven Beach Volleyball Courts, first defeating Lake Sumter Community College (9-7) 4-1, followed by a commanding 4-1 win over Stevenson University (8-5). The Moccasins showcased their strength across the matches, winning eight out of ten contests.
In the match against Lake Sumter, Florida Southern highlighted their dominance in the No. 2 flight, where
Hailey Carefoot and
Sarah Idler defeated Sophia Cooper and Jenna Walker in straight sets, 21-17, 21-13. Following this, the 4s saw
Isabella Muti and
Mary Olivia Muti add another point for FSC, overcoming Moira Mangum and Rylinn Farkus, 21-13, 21-18. At the top flight,
Sydney Melcher and
Ryla Bryant clinched the dual for the Mocs, dispatching Ellison Saunders and Audrey Pickle with a decisive 21-9, 21-12 victory. Continuing the momentum,
Ella Pringle and
Lauren Passaglia further extended the lead with a win over Brooke Walker and Mariana Comartin, 21-13, 21-15. The only loss for Florida Southern came at the 5s, where
Lily Schlageter and
Victoria Rushing fell in a tight match to Brooke Fintak and Emma Grace Blevins, 19-21, 22-24.

Against Stevenson, Florida Southern faced a competitive start as Stevenson managed to put a point on the board with Elle Means and Jacque Rizzuto defeating Carefoot and Idler in straight sets, 21-11, 21-19. However, the Mocs quickly answered back with a point at the No. 3 spot, where Pringle and Passaglia secured a straight-sets victory over Sima Kahoussi and Kylie DesLauriers, 21-11, 21-13. The Muti duo, Isabella and Mary Olivia, also contributed significantly by overcoming Rachel Lenz and Claire Thompson, 21-12, 21-16. The top flight saw Melcher and Bryant earn another point with a win against Nicolette Fuglestad and Giulia Viglietta, 21-19, 21-11. In an exciting finish, Schlageter and Rushing battled back after losing the first set to take the next two sets, defeating Maren Zepfel and Samantha Simmers, 20-22, 21-15, 15-8.
